How it works
Upload a recent original PDF of an electricity bill.
We'll analyse all the key information on your bill.
See how it stacks up, in just a few seconds.

What’s an e-bill? An e-bill is an original, digital version of your electricity bill and is sent to you by email, or is downloadable from your energy provider. It has a filename extension of .pdf - for example, yourbill.pdf. It must be an original, not a photo or scan converted to PDF.
To give you an estimate of whether you could have saved with our electricity plan, we’ll collect, use and disclose your personal information, including by disclosing it to our software provider in accordance with our Privacy Policy located at rootgalaxys3iii.com/privacy.
Our electricity bill comparison tool is currently for comparing residential electricity plans, not gas. We’re working on it though.
Yes. We can only compare residential electricity bills that are up to six months old from the billing period end date.
The comparison is an estimate of what you could’ve saved if you were with EnergyAustralia during the same bill period as the bill you uploaded. It’s also important to note that the comparison provided isn’t a quote or an estimate of future electricity savings.
We base them on our current electricity rates available on our website. These rates vary from time to time and not all electricity rates applicable under your electricity plan may appear in the comparison. For example, it may not display rates that are based on usage or the time of year. You can see all the key details of our current electricity plans in our Basic Plan Information Documents.
The following won’t be included when we calculate the estimate:
- Fees and once-off charges
- Once-off credits and benefits
- Bill adjustments
- Concessions
- Green charges
- Any exit fees your current energy provider might charge if you exit your contract before it expires
- PowerResponse credit
At the moment we also can’t compare bills with a solar feed-in tariff or demand charges.
We use the following information from your bill to calculate the estimate:
- Usage
- Tariff type
- Billing period
- Current discounts
No, our electricity bill comparison tool doesn’t compare electricity bills that have a solar feed-in tariff. We’re working on it though.
If the tool can’t read your bill, you have the option to enter bill information manually on our compare page, based on your postcode and estimated usage. The comparison will be calculated using the information you enter.
Our electricity bill comparison tool is currently for comparing residential electricity plans, not business. It’s on our radar though.
